Technical characteristics

The paper hot air balloon measures approximately 90 cm in height and 60 cm in width. The flying lanterns are delivered to you in a cardboard protective packaging with instructions for use in French. You can use them immediately as they are ready to use.

Our lanterns comply with the CE standard for this:

• The paper is 100% fireproof
• The structure is made of bamboo and contains no metal parts
• The burner is made of solid wood chipboard, not wax
• The volume of the Flying Lantern is less than 50 dm3
• The Chinese lantern does not have any reflective parts that could interfere with air traffic.
• The lanterns have been tested compliant by a laboratory.

Usage

1. Read the safety and usage instructions carefully.
2. Remove the lantern gently from its packaging.
3. Unfold the sides delicately to avoid tearing the canvas, gently swaying from left to right so that the air enters the opening.
4. Light the 4 sides of the burner with a lighter to ignite it properly.
5. We recommend acting in pairs: one person unfolds the lantern and holds it upright, while the other person underneath lights the combustible soap.
6. BE PATIENT!!! Wait for the lighter to burn long enough: the lantern canvas must be fully stretched by the hot air (between 1 and 2 minutes in autumn).
